Salary: $180,000–$225,000 USD base salary for the San Francisco location, plus potential equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and implement foundational platforms, shared systems, and data lifecycle infrastructure.
• Architect core cloud infrastructure and orchestration capabilities for internal products.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver platform features.
• Improve programming practices, development processes, and engineering tools.
• Present technical concepts and provide guidance on development processes and technologies.

Requirements

• 3+ years of full-time post-graduation engineering experience focused on backend systems.
• Strong software development skills and deep understanding of distributed systems and public cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Experience independently owning and delivering successful engineering projects.
• Fluent use of containerization and deployment technologies such as Kubernetes, Terraform, and Docker.
• Experience with orchestration platforms such as Temporal or AWS Step Functions, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and CI/CD tooling such as CircleCI.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with Snowflake, Firebolt, Dagster, or dbt.
• Experience with authentication and authorization systems such as Zanzibar or Authz.
• Experience scaling products at hyper-growth startups.
• Interest in AI technologies.
