What you will do

• Lead design and development of automated test plans, suites, and frameworks across multiple projects.
• Mentor and guide junior QA engineers to develop automation skills and foster quality culture.
• Maintain and scale test automation infrastructure supporting CI/CD pipelines and fast feedback.
• Perform targeted manual testing including exploratory and UI/UX verification.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to define test strategies and priorities.
• Drive cross-team initiatives to improve QA processes, tools, and engineering quality standards.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in London, United Kingdom
• Experience in mature engineering teams at a senior level with a proactive and meticulous approach.
• Technical expertise in automated test frameworks (Cypress, Playwright) and programming languages (TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Java).
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, data validation (SQL/NoSQL), and microservice architectures.
• Proven track record of impact and leadership in test engineering.

Nice to have

• Experience setting up or scaling automation frameworks from scratch.
• Experience with performance, load, or security testing tools.
• Experience mentoring or leading test engineering teams.
• Experience with native mobile testing, Kubernetes, microservices, or cloud infrastructure.
