Staff Software Engineer (AI)

hirify.global develops sales performance management software and is expanding its incentive compensation platform into broader sales planning solutions.

What you will do

• Own the technical direction of the Modeling Platform framework, SDK, interfaces, and frontend components.
• Build a self-service platform that enables product engineering teams to create modeling products without repeatedly solving foundational problems.
• Design agentic and tool-based interfaces that support AI consumers and AI-native development workflows.
• Set multi-year technical strategy and make platform-level decisions involving architecture, ownership boundaries, build-versus-buy, and flexibility.
• Partner with the SmartGrid team on the DAG-based computation engine and drive technical alignment across product engineering teams.
• Coach engineers toward senior and staff-level impact through design leadership, technical guidance, and review standards.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with progression into staff-level technical leadership.
• Strong Python fundamentals and production experience with Django or a similar Python web framework.
• Experience owning a platform or framework layer used by multiple internal engineering teams.
• Strong backend engineering experience combined with hands-on development of frontend components consumed and extended by other teams.
• Experience setting and delivering a multi-year technical strategy for a platform or major system.
• Experience mentoring and developing engineers toward senior and staff-level impact.

Nice to have

• Go experience and familiarity with DAG-based or dependency-graph-driven computation systems.
• Experience designing AI agent interfaces, tool-use schemas, MCP-style protocols, or structured function-calling interfaces.
• Knowledge of Apache Arrow, Parquet, ClickHouse, DuckDB, or similar columnar and OLAP technologies.
• Experience designing SDKs or self-service developer platforms for multiple internal teams.
• Experience in B2B SaaS, sales performance management, incentive compensation, or related enterprise domains.
