Full-Stack AI Practice Lead

Location: Hybrid, 2–3 days per week in the Calgary or Toronto office, Canada

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise AI applications and custom software solutions using Azure OpenAI and modern generative AI technologies.
• Provide hands-on full-stack technical leadership with React, Node.js, and Python while establishing engineering standards, reusable frameworks, and best practices.
• Design scalable enterprise architectures incorporating RAG, agentic workflows, containerization, and business-system integrations.
• Advise clients through technical engagements, workshops, and pre-sales activities, helping shape AI strategies and solutions.
• Mentor technical teams and collaborate with cloud, data, and AI specialists to grow the AI application engineering practice.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, application development, or solution architecture.
• Strong hands-on expertise in React, Node.js, and Python.
• Experience designing and deploying AI solutions with Azure OpenAI or similar enterprise AI platforms.
• Understanding of RAG, AI evaluation, observability, Responsible AI, containerization, cloud-native architectures, and enterprise-scale application development.
• Strong client-facing communication, technical leadership, mentoring, and engineering-practice development skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Foundry, Databricks Genie, Snowflake Cortex, or GitHub Copilot.
• Azure certifications or cloud architecture expertise.
