What you will do

• Build Node.js APIs from scratch, including schema design, contract definition, and business logic implementation.
• Analyze and migrate legacy .NET services to Node with improved architecture.
• Design and implement Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) layers and API gateways using REST patterns.
• Integrate AI tooling into development workflows to accelerate coding and problem diagnosis.
• Collaborate on API standards, error handling, and documentation practices.
• Review code, mentor developers, and contribute to engineering culture.

Requirements

• Must have 5+ years of production Node.js experience with deep knowledge of async patterns and performance optimization.
• Proven experience building REST APIs and designing BFF or API gateway architectures.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and a strong interest in AI-driven automation.
• Ability to read and translate .NET/C# codebases to Node.js.
• Experience with Kubernetes and authentication patterns (OAuth, JWT, API keys).
• Location requirement: Hybrid work in Stockholm, Sweden.

Nice to have

• Experience with React, Next.js, or Angular.
• Python proficiency.
• Exposure to GraphQL, gRPC, or event-driven architectures.
