What you will do

• Set the technical direction and quality standards for the backend architecture and code reviews.
• Architect and build account systems, subscription management, and RESTful APIs for user data.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers to grow the team's technical capabilities.
• Implement secure authentication flows and scalable storage solutions across web and mobile platforms.
• Ensure GDPR compliance, data security, and system stability for millions of users.
• Support AI service delivery, including the template recommendation system.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience owning production systems at meaningful scale.
• Strong proficiency in Javascript, Typescript, or similar languages.
• Deep expertise in SQL and NoSQL database design and data modeling.
• Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and infrastructure as code.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and implementing payment processing or subscription billing.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Stockholm.

Nice to have

• Experience with subscription-based app businesses and freemium models.
• Understanding of the complexities of syncing data across web, iOS, and Android.
