Data Enablement Engineer (Databricks)

TL;DR

Data Enablement Engineer (Databricks/dbt): Designing and delivering a strong onboarding experience for the strategic data platform with an accent on tool usage, architecture, and governance. Focus on reducing user friction, creating reusable technical assets, and accelerating the productivity of data and ML engineers.

Location: Turku, Espoo, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Riga, or Oslo. Requires occasional traveling in the Nordics and Baltics.

What you will do

• Onboard producer and consumer teams to Databricks and assist them through their first real implementations.
• Provide hands-on technical support for dbt, CI/CD, Git, and platform ways of working.
• Develop reusable assets such as examples, templates, default patterns, and troubleshooting guides.
• Coach data practitioners of varying maturity levels to help them become productive faster.
• Collaborate with platform teams to identify recurring pain points and improve enablement practices.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with modern data engineering tooling, specifically Databricks and dbt.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD, Git, and related development workflows.
• Ability to solve complex, real-world implementation problems in messy environments.
• Excellent communication and teaching skills to explain technical topics clearly to different skill levels.
• Service-oriented mindset with the ability to build trust quickly with users.
