TL;DR
Field Sales Engineer (Retail): Supporting field sales teams in North of England and Midlands with on-site discovery, customer meetings, and in-person demonstrations, contributing technical insight to renewal and growth conversations and helping prevent churn in complex environments. Focus on scoping, designing, and validating technical solutions to address customer requirements, while acting as a conduit between customers and Product teams by sharing structured feedback.
Location: Must be based in Manchester and will require regular travelling to support our Field team across the North and Midlands

What you will do
- Support Field Sales teams through on-site discovery, customer meetings, and in-person demonstrations across the North of England and Midlands.
- Partner with Account Executives to scope, design, and validate technical solutions that address customer requirements.
- Support sales teams by surfacing technical risks, constraints, and dependencies early in the sales cycle.
- Collaborate with Strategic Account Managers to support customer retention, satisfaction, and expansion.
- Act as a technical contributor within GTM channels, providing timely, high-quality product and integration guidance.
- Support the technical execution of trade shows and industry events.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in sales, solutions consulting, or customer-facing technical roles.
- Exposure to cloud-based SaaS technologies, ideally within hospitality, retail, or adjacent industries.
- Excellent communication skills including experience speaking to technical and business audiences both internally and externally.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to build strong relationships across Sales, Product, and Delivery teams.
- A basic understanding of APIs and integrations (or strong willingness to develop this skill)
- Right to work in the country of application
Nice to have
- Knowledge of the hospitality industry; hands-on restaurant experience.
- Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
