TL;DR
IP Support Engineer (Networking): Providing 24/7 engineering support to NEP SMPTE 2110 (IP) broadcast mobile units, studios, and systems with an accent on troubleshooting IP video and network-related issues. Focus on configuring and troubleshooting equipment, building and modifying router layouts, and integrating third-party and client-provided gear.

What you will do
- Provide 24/7 technical support for NEP mobile units, studios, fly packs, and other broadcast systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, support, and implement SMPTE-2110 and production systems.
- Assist on-site engineering teams with troubleshooting IP video and network related issues.
- Assist on-site engineering teams with show support, including configuring and troubleshooting equipment.
- Interface with internal and external vendors to provide detailed reports and reproduction steps of software bugs and issues.
- Participate in continuous learning and education to remain current on best practices and help train other broadcast engineers in IP video.
Requirements
- Technical or Associates degree in Computer Science or Electronics desired.
- Cisco or Arista certification desired.
- In-depth knowledge of layer 2 and 3 switching, TCP/IP protocols, and multicast protocols.
- Experience with JavaScript, Python, or other programming language is a plus.
- Prior experience with SMPTE-2110 and broadcast television industry preferred.
- Must be willing and able to travel as necessary.
- Ability to work shift work, including weekends.
