Network Specialist (Cisco)

What you will do

• Serve as the primary on-site 24/7 network support contact for assigned Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs).
• Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, wireless access points, and controllers.
• Manage VLANs according to DHA Zone Architecture Requirements and perform device firmware updates.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, resolving Tier 0 tickets and coordinating escalations with the GSC.
• Perform physical layer tasks, including installing, testing, terminating, and certifying network cabling.
• Monitor network performance using SolarWinds NPM and conduct monthly hardware inventory validations.

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret security clearance is required.
• DoD Approved 8570/8140 certifications: Security+ and CCNA (or equivalent) are required.
• Must be a US Citizen or authorized to work in the US; no visa sponsorship available.
• 2-3 years of experience in network support or IT infrastructure.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (with 2 years exp) or technical certification (with 3 years exp).
• Proficiency in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols, with experience in Cisco, Brocade, or Juniper hardware.
