What you will do
- Own and lead strategic network developments and designs for new products or platform improvements, focusing on the technical design and deployment architecture of Nokia’s Element Manager (NSP) for BT’s Converged Core.
- Champion the security of Nokia’s NSP for BT’s Converged Core, including penetration testing and vulnerability evaluation.
- Hold Nokia accountable for the quality of their product development, testing cycle, and deployment strategy.
- Provide direction and contribute to the wider technical roadmap through assessment of technologies and equipment advancements.
- Advise on how NSP fits in BT’s overall IT system architecture and coordinate stakeholders for seamless integration.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for software adoption in network automation.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Nokia’s NSP platform, its architecture, and capabilities.
- A comprehensive understanding of system security and ability to implement security measures.
- Understanding of containers and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Good understanding of IP/MPLS, Routing protocols (e.g. OSPF/BGP), and network services (e.g. VPWS/VRFs) – CCNA/NRS1 level preferred.
- Ability to write/interpret simple programs using software engineering best practices (Python preferred).
- Understanding of version control (e.g. GitLab).
