What you will do

• Light key or complex shots that set the benchmark for others.
• Maintain lighting consistency and mood across multiple shots and collaborate with comp.
• Debug scene issues including render artifacts, missing inputs, or broken setups.
• Provide mentorship, support, and feedback to mid and junior artists.
• Optimize scenes for efficiency and identify opportunities for render savings.
• Maintain clean, structured, and versioned lighting setups and help improve workflows.

Requirements

• Expert in Houdini lighting (SOPs) and Arnold.
• Strong understanding of physical light behavior, shading, and photorealism.
• Good grasp of render settings, AOV planning, and integration into comp.
• Experience in USD/LOPs workflows or transition planning.
• Familiarity with Arnold/Karma and multi-shot setups.
• 5–7 years of experience in VFX or a related field.
