What you will do

• Provide day-to-day show support for Creature Technical Directors and Animators under mentorship.
• Analyze and optimize rigs and simulation set-ups.
• Assist show Supervisors with quality control and preparation.
• Troubleshoot creature pipeline issues for artists in other disciplines.
• Perform entry-level rigging and shot work.
• Create and maintain documentation for show-specific processes and principles.

Requirements

• Degree or certificate in Computer Graphics, Animation, Fine Arts, Design, or related field.
• Proven ability in rigging and simulation with CG cloth, hair, fur, muscles, and skin.
• Proficiency in Maya or Houdini is required.
• A reel demonstrating character or creature effects, rigging, and technical abilities is required.
• Must be based in or able to work from San Francisco, CA.

Nice to have

• Experience refining templates, rig kits, and reusable sim set-ups.
• Knowledge of Linux.
• Coding or scripting knowledge in Python, Me, or VEX.
