Location: Hybrid in San Carlos, CA or remote from the United States. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States and available for a short onsite onboarding at the San Carlos, CA studio.

Compensation: $20–$25 per hour, plus a stipend.

What you will do

• Acquire essential skills using industry-standard tools and software such as Excel, financial modeling tools, budgeting and forecasting systems.
• Participate in various financial and business planning aspects of game development, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and financial analysis.
• Support mid, senior, and lead finance and business team members by assisting with data analysis, preparing reports, updating financial models, and helping track project and operational expenses.
• Enhance understanding of how financial planning, forecasting, and reporting support game development projects, studio operations, and long-term business decisions.

Requirements

• Enrolled as a college Junior or Senior (graduating in Fall/Winter 2025 or Spring 2026).
• Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields.
• Availability to work full-time (40 hours/week) from June 1st – August 21st, 2026.
• Able to work onsite in San Carlos, CA for the first week of onboarding.
• Legal eligibility to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Coursework or examples demonstrating foundational financial skills (financial models, budgets, forecasts, data analysis, reporting projects, business case studies).
• Exposure to industry-standard financial, analytical, or business tools and workflows.
• Industry involvement outside classroom curriculum (finance clubs, case competitions, academic projects).
• Willingness to tackle challenges, learn from feedback, and adapt to new tools or workflows.
• Ability to communicate ideas clearly, work with data thoughtfully, and turn feedback into action.
