Solutions Engineer (AI)

Location: New York, NY; remote work is also listed as an available location.

OTE: $180,000–$210,000 annually in New York, NY; base pay is 75% of OTE and the variable component is tied to the Account Executives and territory supported.

What you will do

• Partner with Account Executives across qualification, technical discovery, demonstrations, evaluations, and close.
• Lead discovery with accounting-firm leadership to understand close processes, portfolio complexity, ledgers, and supporting tools.
• Run proof-of-concept projects using real client data, including environment configuration, live closes, and product walkthroughs.
• Provide accounting expertise on revenue recognition, consolidation, accrual and cash basis accounting, chart of accounts, cutoffs, and clearing accounts.
• Handle technical due diligence covering integrations, data flows, permissions, configuration, security, and IT questionnaires.
• Support implementations, create reusable sales and enablement assets, and bring field feedback to Product.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of public accounting experience in audit, assurance, tax, or client accounting services.
• Strong command of month-end close processes, including categorization, reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online, Xero, or comparable accounting ledgers.
• Ability to communicate credibly with managing partners, controllers, practice leads, and IT stakeholders.
• Structured problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and comfort working in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.

Nice to have

• Sales, pre-sales, solutions consulting, or customer-facing implementation experience.
• Active or inactive CPA certification.
• Experience evaluating or deploying automation or AI tools in accounting close processes.
• Early-stage startup experience or accounting software implementation experience.
