TL;DR

Workplace IT Support (System Engineering): Providing first-level technical support and ensuring efficient resolution of IT issues for end-users with an accent on ticket management, hardware/software troubleshooting, and user onboarding. Focus on maintaining business continuity and user satisfaction through timely support and system improvements.

Location: Onsite in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Hybrid working arrangements are possible where applicable.

What you will do

  • Serve as the primary contact for IT support via Slack and ticketing system.
  • Log, categorise, prioritise, and resolve IT issues and service requests in line with SLAs, escalating when necessary.
  • Provide first-time fixes and communicate clearly with users regarding issue status and resolution times.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems (desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals).
  • Set up IT equipment for new starters and collect leavers equipment, maintaining accurate asset records.
  • Create and update knowledge base articles and suggest improvements to systems or processes.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a 1st Line IT Support or Service Desk role (or strong equivalent experience).
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira).
  • Support for Microsoft Windows and/or macOS operating systems.
  • Assistance with Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Legally authorised to work in the Netherlands.

Nice to have

  • Experience in an ITIL-based service environment.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure / AWS).
  • Knowledge of endpoint management tools (Intune / Jamf).
  • Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, Microsoft Fundamentals).
