What you will do

• Lead the Asia tax practice as Head of ASG for Asia.
• Develop and implement tax-efficient products across AWM’s alternatives complex.
• Support client engagement around tax efficiencies for private equity, private credit, infrastructure, and real estate funds.
• Advise on tax implications of new products and structures within AWM.
• Quantitatively model various tax planning proposals and strategies to substantiate after-tax benefits.
• Clearly explain complex tax benefits and concepts to investment, fundraising, client relationship teams, and senior business leaders.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of post-qualification experience as a tax attorney, tax accountant, or in-house tax practitioner with strong tax structuring experience.
• Deep Japan tax experience is required, with working tax experience in Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, and knowledge of OECD’s Global Minimum Tax highly preferred.
• Proficiency in partnership taxation, international tax, fund structure, and asset management industry tax/regulatory requirements.
• Native level in Japanese language with strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and modeling skills.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
