What you will do

• Maintain and update AML/CFT policies and ensure their effective application in daily operations.
• Perform regular AML/CFT risk assessments and supervise risk-mitigation measures.
• Prepare compliance reports for senior management and local/HQ boards.
• Support product launches by ensuring all financial crime compliance requirements are met.
• Partner with Product, Legal, and Regulatory teams to drive compliance execution.
• Act as the local point of contact for AML/CFT activities in Japan.

Requirements

• Must be based in Japan.
• Fluency in English and Japanese with excellent communication skills.
• Solid background in financial services with experience in AML/TM/sanctions.
• Good knowledge of local regulations with JFSA and relevant regulators.
• Experience with regulatory exam processes in financial institutions.
• Local Japanese retail banking experience.
