What you will do
- Lead and grow multiple client engineering teams, managing headcount, hiring, performance, and career development.
- Own the unit’s release calendar and drive predictable release cadence across platforms like Quest, AVP, WebXR, and mobile.
- Manage app store submission pipelines, coordinating builds, certification, compliance, and release rollouts.
- Partner with PMs and TLs to translate product goals into release plans, managing scope and cut decisions.
- Design, evolve, and enforce team processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and build/release workflows.
- Track delivery health using metrics and ensure teams meet quality gates and performance targets.
Requirements
- 5+ years of engineering management or technical producer experience shipping client applications (mobile, VR, game dev, or desktop).
- Technical background in client-side software development.
- Experience managing app store release cycles (Apple App Store, Google Play, Meta Quest Store, Steam, or similar).
- Track record of hiring, growing, and retaining strong engineers.
- Experience owning delivery commitments and driving predictable execution in a product engineering environment.
- English: B2+ (written and verbal communication).
Nice to have
- Experience managing multiple app teams or a unit-level engineering org (20+ engineers).
- Hands-on experience with Unity, C#, or .NET application development.
- Experience with VR/XR application development or the VR content ecosystem.
- Familiarity with WebXR, WebGL, or browser-based 3D rendering stacks.
- Experience coordinating with platform review teams (Meta, Apple, Google) and navigating certification requirements.
