TL;DR

Senior Manager, Data Architecture (eTail): Overseeing the design and governance of a comprehensive data platform strategy within a fast-paced retail environment with an accent on accelerating analytics, business intelligence, and operational capabilities. Focus on building and coaching a high-caliber team, establishing governance frameworks, and architecting scalable cloud-based data solutions on Azure, Snowflake, and Databricks.

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina. This role requires in-office presence.

What you will do

Define and steward the enterprise data architecture strategy.
Build, coach, and develop a high-caliber team of data architects and modelers.
Assess and guide the practical adoption of emerging data technologies.
Establish governance frameworks for data modeling, storage, ingestion, and metadata.
Architect scalable, secure data solutions for analytics, BI, and operational use cases.
Partner with cross-functional units to deliver integrated data products and drive enterprise-wide data literacy.

Requirements

7+ years in data and analytics roles with at least 5+ years in a Data Architect or equivalent leadership capacity.
Proven success building scalable cloud-based data platforms using Microsoft Azure, Snowflake, and Databricks.
Deep expertise in data modeling approaches (dimensional, 3NF, Data Vault) and tooling (Erwin or alternatives).
Excellent communication and influence across technical and business stakeholders.
Experience leading, mentoring, and growing a data-focused team.
