Salary: $186,000 - $225,000 USD (OTE)

What you will do

• Lead the evaluation, implementation, and adoption of dbt for the largest enterprise and commercial customers.
• Design enterprise-grade data pipelines using dbt Cloud.
• Guide customers through proof-of-concept (POC) implementations and product trials.
• Collaborate with engineering to deploy dbt Cloud in private clouds for enterprise clients.
• Own the full customer lifecycle from pre-sale evaluation to product adoption and expansion.
• Partner with companies like Snowflake, AWS, and Databricks to enable dbt implementation for their clients.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in sales engineering, solutions architecture, or consulting within data operations, analytics, or BI.
• Strong technical background in SQL, ETL, and data modeling.
• Deep understanding of modern data warehousing architectures.
• Ability to translate technical and business requirements into concrete solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Prior experience with dbt or working at an analytics/ETL/BI or open-source software company.
• Experience with data modeling methods such as Dimensional, Data Vault, Kimball, or 3NF.
• Familiarity with traditional enterprise ETL tooling like Informatica, Boomi, or Talend.
