What you will do

• Lead a team to build and operate secure and resilient distributed systems for secrets and key management.
• Strengthen and re-architect internal PKI and machine/workload identity.
• Run and support built systems, aiding internal developers in their use.
• Organize and plan the team's long-term roadmap and day-to-day work.
• Review and sign off on technical designs, project plans, and code.
• Support team growth and career development, delegating tasks as appropriate.

Requirements

• Team leadership/management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Expertise in software development and distributed systems design.
• Strong security background with a focus on implementation.

Nice to have

• Contribution to open source security or distributed systems projects.
• Cryptography background and ability to work with cryptosystems at the primitives level.
• Experience with HSMs, TPMs, or other platform TEEs.
• Familiarity with HashiCorp Vault or OpenBao.
• Linux/UNIX system administration proficiency.
• Familiarity with Go and/or Python + Salt.
