What you will do
- Lead and mentor a team of 5+ security-focused engineers building reusable platform tooling.
- Design and implement secure-by-default configurations and self-service tools for network, compute, and authentication.
- Partner with Platform and Infrastructure teams to integrate security into the foundation of systems.
- Collaborate across the organization to ensure intuitive security integrations and empower engineers through automation.
- Define and track KPIs focused on platform adoption, system reliability, and vulnerability reduction.
- Act as a strategic partner to Product teams by utilizing hirify.global’s own security products at scale.
Requirements
- Prior experience in Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, Security Architecture, and/or Application Security.
- Direct people management experience and a strong desire to develop as an engineering leader.
- Passion for security and working on complex security problems at scale in a large multi-cloud environment.
- Great communication skills, emotional intelligence and skills at collaborating with and coaching folks from different backgrounds.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and drive outcomes with key stakeholders.
