Salary: $135,600 – $204,380 USD plus bonus

What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of software/data engineers, assisting with daily activities like code development, review, and deployment.
• Coordinate with developers, analysts, data scientists, and product managers to gather requirements, plan, implement, and deploy solutions.
• Lead the development of cloud-based applications leveraging Python & Golang in conjunction with AWS technologies.
• Build and deliver robust ETL pipelines and Kubernetes applications for big-data curation and refinement in a production environment.
• Identify process improvement opportunities by creating metrics and monitoring services to track efficiency.
• Deploy best practices for storing, managing, and serving data through team efforts.
• Manage hiring, performance, and career growth of engineers.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of industry experience in Data Engineering with 4+ years experience in managing teams.
• Proficiency in Python, Golang, Scala, or Java.
• Expertise in Bigdata technologies including MapReduce, Spark, Kafka, In-memory Database, HIVE, HBase, and Hadoop.
• Experience with platform services like Kubernetes and developing solutions in AWS.
• Demonstrated leadership capability with effective management and coaching.
• Master’s degree in CS, CE, or other technical field such as math or physics.
• Experience identifying and implementing AI-driven solutions.
