TL;DR

Data Analytics Manager (Fintech): Leading and mentoring a data engineering team in North America to develop scalable data models and BI architecture for financial services, with an accent on technical leadership, architectural design, and complex problem-solving. Location: Must be located in Canada and able to work within EST/EDT hours. Work environment can be fully remote, partially remote, or fully office-based (in cities with local offices).

Salary: $165,000 - $175,000 CAD

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership, owning the technical roadmap and architectural design for data solutions.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data models and BI architecture to support long-term business growth.
• Identify root causes of recurring data issues and implement long-term systemic solutions across tooling and processes.
• Lead architectural whiteboarding sessions and establish best practices for data modeling and quality.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Risk, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Security teams to define data strategy.
• Support team professional development through 1:1s, performance reviews, feedback, and goal setting.
• Communicate team progress to senior leadership and find and hire top talent.

Requirements

• Experience leading a team of Data/Analytics Engineers building a scalable Data & BI Platform.
• Deep technical expertise in data modelling & warehousing architectures.
• Expert in SQL and experience in Python/JavaScript or other programming languages.
• Strong skills in stakeholder management, understanding and addressing their needs.
• Solid written & verbal communication skills.
• Must be located in Canada and able to work within EST/EDT hours.

Nice to have

• Experience in the FinTech domain.
• Experience in GCP.
• Experience in ML/MLOps or Data Science.
