What you will do
- Define and execute multi-cloud platform strategy across GCP, AWS, and other environments.
- Oversee high-availability cloud infrastructure, SRE best practices, observability, and disaster recovery.
- Embed security and compliance by design, partnering with Security and Compliance for HIPAA, FISMA, and FedRAMP adherence.
- Lead infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and automation initiatives for agile workflows in regulated environments.
- Lead cloud cost optimization strategy, budget forecasting, and FinOps practices.
- Build, scale, and lead a high-performing Cloud Platform organization, overseeing headcount, budgeting, and vendor management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 12+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or site reliability roles.
- 5+ years of experience leading engineering managers and multi-team organizations.
- Expert-level knowledge of at least two major public cloud providers (GCP or AWS strongly preferred).
- Proven experience scaling cloud infrastructure for high-availability, production-grade systems.
- Demonstrated success driving cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices at scale.
- Deep understanding of SRE principles, observability systems, and incident response frameworks.
- Must not require employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting AI/ML infrastructure and data-intensive workloads.
- Experience designing multi-region architectures and disaster recovery strategies.
- Experience operating in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, financial services).
- Familiarity with healthcare regulatory standards such as HIPAA, FISMA, and FedRAMP.
- Experience implementing infrastructure automation and self-service platform capabilities.
