Salary: $179,400-$250,000 + equity + benefits

What you will do

• Lead the development and delivery of complex, scalable software systems that support AI models and capabilities.
• Shape the design, development, and evolution of AI systems from vision to robust implementation.
• Manage a small team of senior software engineers in a player/coach model.
• Partner with AI/ML, MLOps, Product, and Clinical leads for joint technical decisions.
• Champion code quality and high engineering standards for AI/ML applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field OR equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of engineering experience building Python applications.
• 2+ years of experience managing and leading high-performing teams.
• 1+ years of experience as an engineer building systems with a generative AI component.
• Experience deploying applications with AWS.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to influence internal organizations.
• Candidates must permanently reside in the US full-time.

Nice to have

• Experience with vector search, embedding models, recommender systems, LLM orchestration, RAG systems, or chatbots.
• Professional experience with clinical/healthcare applications and HIPAA compliance.
• Experience with Typescript.
• Experience with AWS SageMaker.
