Engineering Manager

What you will do

• Manage multiple engineering teams to deliver on various hirify.global product lines.
• Establish technical direction and best practices across the organization for high-quality software delivery.
• Collaborate with Product Architects and Delivery to ensure engineering efforts align with product requirements and plans.
• Manage dependencies, resolve issues, and identify risks to optimize the product flow of engineering teams.
• Ensure high quality standards are maintained throughout all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), with a particular emphasis on testing.
• Support and mentor engineers through 1-2-1s, performance reviews, and career management to realize their full potential.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience leading or managing teams.
• 8+ years of software development experience.
• Experience designing and implementing scalable solutions in an Object-Oriented language (C# or Java).
• Experience with relational databases (SQL Server or related).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum or Lean/Kanban environment.
• Degree in Computer Science or a similar field.
• Eligible to work in the UK on a permanent and full-time basis.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of payment processing, PCI standards, and information security.
• Experience working in a Windows .NET environment.
