Software Engineering Associate (Asset & Wealth Management)

Location: Albany, NY, United States; office-based role

Salary: $95,000–$145,000 base per year, with potential discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to build customer-centric Asset & Wealth Management products.
• Analyze existing software, identify improvements, and estimate new feature implementation.
• Develop and maintain test plans, documentation, and automated tests for technical changes.
• Participate in user story refinement, technical design, code reviews, Agile processes, and continuous improvement.
• Build long-term partnerships with clients, product owners, and cross-functional colleagues.
• Develop technical skills through cross-training and knowledge advancement.

Requirements

• Degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• 3+ years of experience with Java or another related object-oriented development language.
• Experience with microservices architecture and API development.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Ability to establish trusted partnerships with cross-functional team members and product owners.
• Analytical, self-directed, open-minded, and motivated to learn and contribute technical and product solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience with source control management systems such as SVN or Git.
• Understanding of common application architecture design patterns.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
