TL;DR

Head of Product Design (Design Systems): Guiding the Design Foundations team to scale design, engineering, and product across a complex, distributed organization with an accent on defining future foundations through Nexus, content design, and GenAI design. Focus on shaping governance models, driving adoption strategies, and operating at the intersection of design, engineering, and product leadership to deliver cohesive, high-quality experiences.

Location: Remote within Spain, must be based in and legally eligible to work in Spain. Remote work from outside Spain is not possible.

What you will do

• Define and evolve the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Nexus as a strategic design platform.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of designers focused on building and evolving Nexus.
• Establish governance models and operating frameworks for design contributions and adoption.
• Partner closely with engineering leadership to align on architecture, tooling, and delivery workflows.
• Drive organizational alignment and adoption of design foundations across teams.
• Measure and demonstrate the impact of Nexus on product delivery speed, scalability, and user experience.

Requirements

• Proven experience building and scaling design platforms in complex organizations, supporting multiple brands/products.
• Strong engineering partnership, understanding technical implementation (tokens, versioning, component architecture).
• Demonstrated organizational leadership and influence, driving adoption and change at scale.
• Pragmatic systems thinking, balancing consistency with flexibility and optimizing for adoption/velocity.
• Must be based in and legally eligible to work in Spain.
