What you will do

• Own and drive architectural decisions for scalable and reliable backend systems.
• Build and operate high-performance real-time data pipelines for order book updates and trade executions.
• Design and maintain API layers using GraphQL and WebSockets for high-traffic clients.
• Optimize databases including ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, and Redis for efficient querying of trading data.
• Implement performance monitoring and participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 availability.
• Debug complex latency, memory, and reliability issues under heavy load.

Requirements

• Must have 5+ years of backend engineering experience with strong TypeScript skills.
• Experience with real-time systems, WebSockets, event streaming, and pub/sub architectures.
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, and preferably ClickHouse or similar columnar databases.
• Proven track record operating high-availability services at scale.
• Solid understanding of trading concepts including orders, fills, order books, and execution logic.
• Strong debugging and performance profiling skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka or similar streaming systems.
• Background in fintech, trading platforms, or low-latency applications.
• Familiarity with DeFi protocols or on-chain data structures.
