TL;DR

Business Development Representative (AI): Supporting outbound sales, lead qualification, and early-stage client relationships in the Italian market with an accent on creating qualified opportunities and feeding a high-quality pipeline. Focus on executing outbound activities, identifying new markets, and building early-stage client relationships.

Location: This role is focused on scaling commercial traction in the Italian market, requiring effective operation within Italy.

Compensation: 100% performance-based collaboration (success fee only), percentage on every closed deal calculated on gross margin, and a one-time fixed fee for each BANT-qualified lead. No fixed salary or monthly retainer.

What you will do

  • Qualify inbound leads from marketing campaigns and execute outbound activities (cold email, calls, LinkedIn).
  • Support the Head of Growth in identifying new markets, verticals, and partnership opportunities.
  • Participate in selected events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities relevant to AI and innovation.
  • Conduct structured research on prospects, competitors, and market signals.
  • Build and nurture early-stage relationships with potential clients and partners.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM (HubSpot) and contribute directly to sales goals.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in business development, sales, or similar commercial roles.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence in speaking with B2B decision-makers.
  • Ability to work with CRM tools (HubSpot or equivalent) and demonstrate a structured mindset.
  • Interest in AI, digital products, or innovation-driven environments.
  • Fluency in English and Italian is mandatory.

Nice to have

  • German is a plus.
  • An existing client portfolio.
