Field Engineer - Software Support (Metro Manila)

Location: Pasay City, Philippines; customer-site travel and extended onsite assignments may be required.

What you will do

• Implement G+D software packages at customer sites and lead implementation activities.
• Respond to, troubleshoot, document, and resolve customer software issues within contracted SLA times.
• Set up test environments to reproduce issues, identify root causes, and escalate defects requiring code changes to R&D.
• Configure and integrate applications with databases, LDAP, core banking systems, and third-party applications.
• Provide onsite assistance, customer training, technical reports, and support documentation.
• Maintain customer relationships and keep current with G+D products and technical knowledge.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field and 4+ years of experience in a customer support role.
• Experience administering IBM WebSphere Application Server 9.x, JBoss EAP 7.x, and IIS.
• Experience deploying WAR and EAR applications in Java EE application-server environments, with strong JDBC and JMS knowledge.
• Experience installing and deploying .NET applications and administering MS SQL and Oracle databases, including backup and restore.
• Knowledge of networking standards and protocols including DHCP, DNS, SSL, TCP, UDP, FTP, SFTP, and IP.
• Willingness to work in a 24x7 environment, travel to customer sites, work extended periods onsite, and handle long hours when necessary.
