What you will do

• Own the Bronze data layer by building and maintaining ingestion pipelines from third-party APIs, transforming data via dbt, and orchestrating via Prefect.
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams on Silver-layer data modeling, ensuring data is clean, documented, and governed for consumption.
• Enable upstream teams to effectively manage their Gold-layer data through best practices, governance standards, pipeline automation, and tooling.
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures and data quality issues, identifying root causes and implementing long-term fixes.
• Contribute to the evolution of the data platform by identifying opportunities for optimization, refactoring, and scaling infrastructure.
• Stay informed on developments in the modern data stack and introduce tools and processes to improve development workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of data engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a senior capacity.
• Strong proficiency with SQL, Python, ELT patterns, and data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with modern data stack tools, including Snowflake, dbt, orchestration frameworks (e.g., Prefect), and BI tools.
• Strong proficiency with Git and version control practices.
• Experience focused on system resilience, observability, and operational excellence across data platforms.
• Demonstrated fluency with AI-assisted development tools in your engineering workflow.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with digital marketing data or the multifamily/real estate industry.
• Experience with data platform security practices.
