What you will do

• Own the roadmap and delivery for Assemble's core platform capabilities.
• Build scalable infrastructure including data pipelines, knowledge management, agent orchestration, and enterprise integrations.
• Drive architecture decisions balancing immediate delivery needs with long-term platform scalability.
• Ensure platform reliability, security, and performance at enterprise scale.
• Establish and enforce engineering standards, development practices, and code quality.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of platform engineers, making hiring decisions and conducting performance reviews.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 2+ years in engineering management.
• Strong technical background in Python, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and distributed systems.
• Experience building platforms, developer tools, or internal infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of modern software architecture, CI/CD, and engineering best practices.
• Experience establishing and implementing AI best practices.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence across teams.
