What you will do

• Maintain and improve camera and sensor control software, including health monitoring and error recovery.
• Develop new scanner capabilities and implement signal processing pipelines for data conversion, post-processing, filtering, and coordinate transforms.
• Prototype solutions quickly, then harden implementations to production-grade reliability.
• Support system integration and deployments by bringing up new modules, validating in the lab/on-vehicle, debugging issues, and shipping fixes.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including debugging, testing, reliability, and version control.
• Experience integrating sensors/devices in real-world systems and working close to hardware.
• Ability to take ambiguous requirements and ship maintainable systems.
• Experience with embedded/edge platforms like Raspberry Pi, NVIDIA Jetson, or Arduino.
• Familiarity with protocols and interfaces such as RS-485, CAN, Modbus, UART/I2C/SPI, and GPIO.
• Proficiency in Linux-based device development (system services, supervision, logging, performance profiling).
• Experience with sensor/vision data processing, including filtering, calibration, synchronization, and map generation.
• Comfortable with basic soldering, crimping/connectors, and reading datasheets/wiring diagrams.

Nice to have

• Computer vision/depth sensing experience (stereo, structured light, LiDAR, triangulation).
• Multi-device synchronization, timestamps, trigger distribution, and drift management.
• Experience with production deployments, monitoring, remote updates, and failure analysis.
• Proficiency in Python + C/C++ (and/or Rust/Go) in mixed systems.
• Familiarity with camera control APIs and image capture pipelines.
