Field Application Engineer (Edge AI)

TL;DR

Field Application Engineer (Edge AI): Enabling successful evaluation, design-in, and deployment of hirify.global AI processors in production edge devices with an accent on SoC integration, AI model optimization, and system-level debugging. Focus on bridging the gap between customers, sales, and R&D to troubleshoot performance, latency, and power issues across hardware and software.

Location: On-site in the Bay Area / Silicon Valley. Travel is required (typically 1 week per month).

What you will do

• Act as the primary technical interface for customers integrating hirify.global AI processors into edge platforms.
• Analyze customer requirements and system architectures to recommend optimal AI solutions.
• Support hardware/software bring-up, evaluation, and debugging of AI solutions.
• Optimize AI models for computer vision and generative AI workloads using hirify.global's SDK and compiler.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, and R&D to influence the product roadmap.
• Deliver technical presentations, demos, and trainings to customers and partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience as a SW/embedded developer.
• Strong background with SoC and Linux-based embedded platforms.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
• Knowledge of AI inference pipelines and deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, or ONNX).
• Ability to debug complex system-level issues across hardware, drivers, and applications.

Nice to have

• Experience with edge AI SoCs, AI Accelerators, GPUs, or NPUs.
• Familiarity with camera systems, video pipelines, or ISPs.
• Understanding of AI performance metrics (FPS, latency, TOPS).
• Background in video analytics or generative AI (VLM/LLM).
