What you will do

• Train, integrate, and test Machine Learning models for on-vehicle Autonomy software.
• Optimize and monitor software for maximum reliability and minimum latency.
• Coordinate and execute on-vehicle tests to validate performance in real-world scenarios.
• Diagnose and root-cause issues reported by commercial operations via the Field Response process.
• Design and oversee data collection strategies to address ML model deficiencies.
• Develop tools and visualizations to analyze behavior and control subsystems from field data.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Ann Arbor, MI.
• 2+ years of experience with robotics software for physical systems in a commercial environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related mathematical/engineering field.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++/Python within a Linux environment.
• Basic understanding of ML model concepts (training, architectures) and perception systems (lidar, camera, radar).
• Functional proficiency with memory management, threading, databases, and networking.

Nice to have

• Experience with CUDA, GPU processing, and deploying ML models to resource-constrained hardware.
• Familiarity with Perception, Planning, and Foundation model concepts in Autonomous Driving.
• Proficiency with hard example mining, active learning, or dataset composition techniques.
• Experience building training and evaluation pipelines for large-scale data (>100TB) or models (>100GB).
