What you will do

• Define and lead data science strategy for hirify.global’s insurance business across key areas like underwriting, claims, and portfolio management.
• Lead cross-functional analytics and data science projects to uncover insights and optimization opportunities across the customer and broker journey.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to other data scientists and senior analysts, developing repeatable frameworks.
• Design and analyze complex experiments and quasi-experiments for guideline changes, pricing strategies, and broker programs.
• Develop data models and scalable analytical/ML workflows to improve reliability, repeatability, and time-to-insight.
• Analyze disparate data sources and synthesize findings into clear, influential narratives with prioritized recommendations for leadership.

Requirements

• 10+ years in analytics or data science with a consistent track record of measurable impact.
• 8+ years of deep domain experience in the Insurance industry, ideally P&C or cyber/E&O.
• Expert SQL skills, including complex data modeling, performance optimization, and clear documentation.
• Expert in Python or R for analysis, experimentation, and reproducible workflows.
• Strong grasp of statistical methods: hypothesis testing, experiment design, and causal thinking.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to translate complex technical work for non-technical audiences.
• English: B2 required

Nice to have

• Exposure and usage of AI-assisted coding IDEs like Cursor or GitHub Copilot.
• Domain experience in fintech or adjacent regulated industries in addition to insurance.
• Familiarity with analytics and data workflows such as dbt or Airflow.
• Hands-on experience with causal inference methods and quasi-experimental designs in noisy environments.
