Senior Consulting Engineer - LATAM (Database)

Senior Consulting Engineer (Database): Serving as a team member on customer projects, designing, architecting, integrating, and implementing scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed database management systems with an accent on providing consultative support, technical oversight, and migration assistance to strategic customers. Focus on researching, benchmarking, performance testing, and developing reference architectures and tooling in a global, distributed environment.

Location: Remote, with up to 35% estimated onsite regional travel in LATAM.

What you will do

• Serve as a team member on customer projects, focusing on design, architecture, integration, implementation, and documentation.
• Provide case-initiated consultative support to strategic users, customers, and prospects for implementation, onboarding, production launches, and Proof of Concepts (POCs).
• Provide architectural, technical, and migration assistance, including hands-on tasks.
• Handle L1 to L3 support cases and communications when not actively assigned to customer projects.
• Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Sales to contribute to the product roadmap and account plans.
• Develop and assist with a wide range of content, including Public and Internal Documentation, Knowledge Base articles, and Reference Architecture.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Professional Services, Support, Technical Accounts Management, Engineering/SRE, and/or Project Management roles.
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience implementing, operating, and/or supporting scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed database management systems (DBMS).
• Technical breadth and depth in DBMS, OLAP, Cloud/SaaS platforms, distributed systems software engineering, Linux/Unix, and Kubernetes.
• Experience leading and shipping large scope technical projects in collaboration with multiple experienced engineers.
• Expertise with a public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their infrastructure as a service offering (e.g., EC2).
• Excellent communication skills for customer-facing roles.
