Senior Member Of Technical Staff (Python, Go, Networking): Building and optimizing high-load backend services for cloud software and hyperconverged infrastructure with an accent on networking stack, distributed systems, and reliability. Location: Hybrid role requiring 3 days a week onsite attendance in one of the following offices: San Jose (USA), Durham (USA), Mexico City (Mexico), Bangalore (India), Pune (India), Hoofddorp (Netherlands), Belgrade (Serbia), Barcelona (Spain), Singapore (Singapore), Sydney (Australia), or Tokyo (Japan).

What you will do

• Lead technical design and architecture solutions, driving consensus and decision-making for complex systems.
• Inculcate best practices for design, coding standards, testing, and automation to improve developer productivity.
• Ensure high quality standards for user experience, scale, resiliency, and reliability of deliverables.
• Participate in project planning and product roadmap discussions with Engineering and Product teams.
• Represent hirify.global in external seminars and contribute to white-papers, blogs, and patent filings.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of hands-on software development experience in Python and Golang on Linux platforms.
• Strong understanding of the Linux networking stack, including sockets, netfilter, routing subsystem, namespaces, and cgroups.
• Expertise with iptables, nftables, and firewall rules management.
• Deep understanding of iproute2, network namespaces, VRFs, bridging, bonding, and VLAN configurations.
• Solid knowledge of packet flow, NAT, conntrack, and kernel-level networking concepts.
• Ability to debug complex network issues at L2/L3/L4 layers using tools like tcpdump, Wireshark, ss, and netstat.

Nice to have

• Experience with virtualization technologies (KVM, QEMU, Docker, containers, or hypervisors).
• Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP, private cloud).
• Familiarity with security frameworks and hardening practices.
• Experience with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, RIP).
