Engineering Manager (QA)

Location: Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, requiring employees to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week in San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney, or Tokyo.

What you will do

• Own the quality vision, strategy, and execution for hirify.global Objects across releases.
• Actively contribute technically to quality engineering efforts, including test design, automation, debugging, and root-cause analysis.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing QA team across manual and automation testing.
• Oversee various types of testing and drive automation strategy and adoption.
• Partner with Engineering, Product Management, DevOps, and Support teams.
• Track and analyze quality metrics, present insights, and continuously improve QA processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years in software quality engineering, with 2+ years in a QA leadership or managerial role.
• Strong technical foundation with ability to dive deep into complex systems.
• Experience testing distributed systems, storage platforms, or cloud-native services.
• Solid understanding of automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and modern QA methodologies.
• Experience with object storage systems, S3 APIs, Kubernetes, or hybrid-cloud environments.
• Proven ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on technical contribution.
