Hi, I’m Dim — I run HR at IndigoVC.
With more than 10 years of experience scaling global startups (including Prequel Inc. and Wheely, among others), I’m looking for my right-hand person and future successor.
We buy promising early-stage Roblox games with killer stats and under-monetized potential. Then we turbo-charge them: smart marketing, aggressive updates, PR, and community management that turns players into evangelists.
Core team ≈20 people, all top-0.1% in their respective fields. Plus ~60 devs (freelance/contract) who ship updates like clockwork. No office, rare meetings. Discord-first culture.
The problem we're handing you:
Our people are scattered across time zones, cultures, languages, and mindsets.
Wall Street sharks sit next to ex-indie founders sit next to "I learned Lua from indian YouTube manuals" legends sit next to creative maniacs from Brazil who communicate mostly in memes. All are huge nerds.
We hire fast. We pivot a lot. We fire fast. We promote even faster - almost nobody on the core team hasn't leveled up in the last 6 months.
We need the person who turns this beautiful, messy federation of talent into a high-velocity machine that keeps scaling without imploding.
What the role actually looks like:
• Hiring solves 95% problems. You're hunting unicorns in weird places, writing magnetic job posts that make talented weirdos think "wait… this is for me?", running lightning-fast processes, and closing candidates who have 666 other offers. My core values: speed + taste.
• Onboarding that feels like joining a cult instead of a corporation. New people should understand our vibe, our tools, our "why", and be shipping/contributing within days—not weeks. Automate the boring parts, humanize the important ones.
• Tooling & automation nerdery. ATS, onboarding flows, performance tracking, contract management - we aim to make everything smooth and simple.
• Community management for internal humans. Yes, we have internal community too. Culture doesn't happen by accident when your team speaks 8 languages and works 24/7. You help keep the energy high, drama low, memes fresh.
• Be the anti-HR person. I've always believed HR is the classic mid-ambition trap that swallows talented people whole. If you’re secretly looking for an escape path into something bigger and faster-moving — you just found it
Here HR is creative, fast, and directly tied to growth. But freedom comes with high standards: everything must be done intelligently, tastefully, and at elite level.
You Probably Are: • Smart, fast, and allergic to bureaucracy
• Have scaling experience (preferably startup/gaming/tech/creative industries)
• Comfortable in fully remote, async, chat-heavy environments
• Good at reading people across cultures (bonus if multilingual)
• Obsessed with great candidate & employee experience
• Have a great taste.
• Managed to read this whole thing without skipping lines. Have a millennial work ethic.
• Not afraid to say "this process is dumb, let's fix it".
