What you will do

• Investigate and resolve complex alerts from transaction monitoring systems, analyzing payment flows and user behaviors.
• Prepare and recommend the filing of high-quality Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
• Conduct Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) on high-risk users and maintain customer risk profiles.
• Optimize transaction monitoring rules to reduce false positives while maintaining effectiveness.
• Mentor junior team members on investigation techniques and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Product, Risk, and Legal teams on compliance initiatives and new product launches.

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on AML experience, ideally in fintech or banking.
• Proven experience preparing and filing well-structured SAR narratives.
• In-depth knowledge of BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, and OFAC sanctions.
• Familiarity with regulatory bodies such as FinCEN and FATF.
• U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements).
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work independently under minimal supervision.

Nice to have

• AML-related certifications such as CAMS or CGSS.
• Experience with digital payments, money transmission, wallets, or peer-to-peer platforms.
