What you will do

• Partner with product and engineering teams to lead documentation projects for security, observability, and automation products.
• Gather technical details for public documentation by reviewing internal product materials and hands-on testing of products.
• Create developer-facing documentation and guides for hirify.global SDKs, APIs, and developer tools.
• Collaborate with the documentation team to help maintain documentation standards and contribute to ongoing process improvements.
• Participate in a business-hours interrupt-handling rotation to respond to documentation questions, requests, and issues.
• Review and provide editorial feedback on documentation written by others.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience writing technical documentation for developers, SREs, and security engineers.
• Experience in using Markdown, a static-site generator, and GitHub to develop and publish documentation with a ‘Docs as Code’ approach.
• Comfortable and familiar with using basic Python and reading at least 1 other programming language (e.g., Java, Ruby).
• Comfortable and familiar with modern infrastructure concepts such as cloud services and containers.
• Publicly available technical writing samples.
• Experience managing large and complex documentation sets and developing well-structured and effective information architecture.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI tools as part of documentation work.
• Experience documenting modern security platforms, particularly in areas such as application and API security, cloud workload protection, or application security testing.
