What you will do
- Partner with product and engineering teams to lead documentation projects for security, observability, and automation products.
- Gather technical details for public documentation by reviewing internal product materials and hands-on testing of products.
- Create developer-facing documentation and guides for SDKs, APIs, and developer tools.
- Collaborate with the documentation team to help maintain standards and contribute to process improvements.
- Participate in a business-hours interrupt-handling rotation to respond to documentation questions and issues.
- Review and provide editorial feedback on documentation written by others.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance to other team members.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience writing technical documentation for developers, SREs, and security engineers.
- Experience using Markdown, a static-site generator, and GitHub with a ‘Docs as Code’ approach.
- Comfortable with basic Python and reading at least 1 other programming language (e.g., Java, Ruby).
- Familiarity with modern infrastructure concepts such as cloud services and containers.
- Publicly available technical writing samples.
- Experience managing large documentation sets and developing well-structured information architecture.
- Experience using AI tools as part of documentation work.
- English: B2 required
