Location: Washington, DC. This role follows a hybrid policy requiring staff to be in one of the offices at least 25% of the time. Visa sponsorship is available for eligible candidates to work in the US.

Salary: $295,000–$345,000 USD (Annual)

What you will do

• Act as a primary technical advisor for senior government leaders and national security customers evaluating Claude.
• Demonstrate Claude's capabilities for U.S. and democratic allies’ national security operations through proofs of concept.
• Partner with policy and sales teams to understand customer requirements and develop customized pilots and prototypes.
• Drive technical decision-making on optimal setup, architecture, and integration of Claude into existing customer infrastructure.
• Serve as the voice of customers, collaborating with Product and Research teams to deliver critical capabilities.
• Travel to customer sites for meetings, AI implementation, and relationship building.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI security clearance is required.
• 2+ years of experience as a Customer Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Platform Engineer within the National Security space.
• Exceptional ability to build relationships and communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in the defense, technology, or cybersecurity industries.
• Strong technical aptitude to partner with engineers and proficiency in at least one programming language (Python preferred).
• Understanding of and experience with LLM fundamentals.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
