Salary: $172,000–$215,000/year in Denver & most remote locations; $202,000–$253,000/year in San Francisco, Seattle & New York.

What you will do
- Lead end-to-end design for the Payroll product, ensuring proper, on-time payments for small businesses.
- Define and communicate the long-term UX vision for Payroll, aligning multiple teams.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Data, and Operations to set strategy and roadmaps.
- Lead AI and automation initiatives to simplify payroll and reduce manual work without compromising accuracy.
- Manage and mentor a team of designers across multiple pods.
- Ensure seamless integration of payroll with hirify.global’s People Platform and third-party tools.
Requirements
- 8–10+ years of product design experience, with at least 3 years in a people management role.
- Proven experience leading design direction across multiple teams and influencing product strategy.
- Experience with B2B, B2C, or SaaS products, especially in complex, regulated domains.
- Deep systems thinking to transform complex workflows into intuitive experiences.
- A portfolio demonstrating high-quality UX and visual design craft.
- Experience contributing to or evolving a design system.
