Salary: $191,000/yr to $237,000/yr in Denver & most remote locations; $225,000/yr to $279,000/yr for San Francisco, Seattle & New York.

What you will do

• Design, build, and ship production features using large language models to address customer problems.
• Implement and integrate LLMs, including prompting, tool loops, evaluation, and monitoring.
• Make pragmatic architecture decisions, mitigate risks, and keep projects unblocked.
• Partner with product and design to refine ideas, scope features, and iterate rapidly.
• Collaborate with other engineering teams for system integration and dependency resolution.
• Write clear, reliable, and well-tested code that is shipped quickly and scales effectively.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience building and shipping production products or platforms.
• Hands-on experience implementing LLM-powered features (e.g., RAG flows, agents, workflow automation with language models).
• Strong engineering skills in services, APIs, and data flows, with comfort spending most time coding.
• Experience running or heavily contributing to a team’s execution, including sprints, Jira, scoping, and cross-functional coordination.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with product, design, and other engineering teams without needing a formal management title.
• Proficiency with Ruby on Rails (or comparable language) and React (or comparable library).
• Must be based in the US, with hybrid attendance in Denver, San Francisco, or New York, or required travel to Denver for onboarding.
