Location: This is a hybrid role. Employees in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City will work from the office approximately 2-3 days per week. For other remote locations in the US, travel to ’s Denver office for onboarding is required.
Salary: $191,000/yr to $237,000/yr in Denver & most remote locations; $225,000/yr to $279,000/yr for San Francisco, Seattle & New York.

What you will do
- Design, build, and ship production features using large language models to address customer problems.
- Implement and integrate LLMs, including prompting, tool loops, evaluation, and monitoring.
- Make pragmatic architecture decisions, mitigate risks, and keep projects unblocked.
- Partner with product and design to refine ideas, scope features, and iterate rapidly.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams for system integration and dependency resolution.
- Write clear, reliable, and well-tested code that is shipped quickly and scales effectively.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience building and shipping production products or platforms.
- Hands-on experience implementing LLM-powered features (e.g., RAG flows, agents, workflow automation with language models).
- Strong engineering skills in services, APIs, and data flows, with comfort spending most time coding.
- Experience running or heavily contributing to a team’s execution, including sprints, Jira, scoping, and cross-functional coordination.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with product, design, and other engineering teams without needing a formal management title.
- Proficiency with Ruby on Rails (or comparable language) and React (or comparable library).
- Must be based in the US, with hybrid attendance in Denver, San Francisco, or New York, or required travel to Denver for onboarding.
