Salary: $10,000/month (12-week contract)

What you will do

• Design the core agent architecture for operating in constrained network environments.
• Build connectors for common enterprise data sources, including SQL databases, internal APIs, and legacy mainframe interfaces.
• Develop a natural language task definition layer to translate operator intent into safe, auditable agent actions.
• Implement security primitives such as credential vaulting, least-privilege execution, and action sandboxing.
• Work with enterprise design partners to validate the framework against real internal tooling pain points.

Requirements

• Strong backend engineering skills with experience shipping production systems at scale.
• Deep experience with enterprise infrastructure, including databases, APIs, authentication systems, and networking constraints.
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs, specifically agentic architectures, tool use, and function calling.
• Understanding of security and compliance requirements in enterprise environments.
• Ability to work autonomously and make architectural decisions.
• Must be located within commuting distance of Mountain View, CA.

Nice to have

• Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or similar tool-use frameworks for AI agents.
• Experience building internal developer platforms or internal tooling at scale.
• Background in systems integration, middleware, or ETL pipeline development.
• Founder or founding engineer experience building infrastructure products.
