Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote in the USA or Canada

Salary: CAD 145,000 / USD 170,000 annual base salary, excluding annual bonus where applicable.

What you will do

• Embed with application teams and provide hands-on technical leadership for re-platforming and microservices modernization on AWS cloud-native architectures.
• Drive adoption of AI-assisted software development practices and support change management using tools such as Cursor and Claude Code.
• Design architectural scaffolding, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform infrastructure, and solutions to complex integration challenges.
• Assess technical and process bottlenecks, recommend improvements, and influence technical direction without formal authority.
• Relay feedback from delivery teams to the central Principal Engineer and Architect to improve modernization tools and processes.
• Apply Twelve-Factor App principles, DevSecOps practices, and high-quality engineering stahirify.globalrds.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive software engineering experience focused on enterprise applications and application modernization.
• Strong full-stack experience across frontend, backend, databases, and infrastructure, with expert proficiency in Python, TypeScript, C#, Java, or another modern language.
• Deep practical experience building scalable applications on AWS and strong proficiency with Terraform.
• Hands-on mastery of CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions or GitLab CI, and DevSecOps integration.
• Understanding of microservices, serverless, event-driven architecture, and Domain-Driven Design.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, listening, consulting, and change-management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in consulting, Staff Engineer, or Forward Deployed roles focused on technical adoption or modernization.
• Experience training or mentoring software engineers.
• Experience with React, NextJS, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS Lambda, Cursor, or Claude Code.
